Wireframes illustrate the elements that will appear on key pages and indicate their visual priority. Creating detailed wireframes allows us to discover missing content and functionality early in a project, streamlining both the design and development phases. In addition, wireframes are a great tool for building internal consensus about which elements belong on each page and for facilitating collaboration with external development teams.
