Developer

Habañero Consulting Group, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a highly capable developer to support consulting efforts and deliver on business software projects for a variety of customers. The desired candidate will be energetic, possess a strong set of skills and attributes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build software for a variety of customers on a variety of projects
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, with emphasis on producing quality software solutions within project constraints
  • Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams including customer stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, designers, developers, testers and systems personnel
  • Share knowledge and provide assistance across projects as needed
  • Work to improve existing development processes
  • Write technical materials as needed

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year computer science degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of development experience
  • Demonstrated history of delivering completed projects
  • Strong English language skills (oral and written)
  • Solid software engineering knowledge
  • A fundamental understanding of business and the application of technology
  • Solid knowledge and experience in all stages of SDLC
  • NET (C#), ASP.NET, OOP
  • HTML, Javascript/DHTML
  • XML technologies; web services
  • Relational database design and implementation with MS SQL Server
  • Networks and systems

Nice-to-have Skills and Experience

  • Good sense of usability, aesthetics and human factors
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following Microsoft products: SharePoint Portal Server, BizTalk, Content Management Server, Commerce Server
  • Awareness of agile modeling and lightweight development processes
  • C++ or VB, COM, ASP, Distributed Network Architecture (DNA), MTS/COM+
  • Oracle (PL/SQL)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and message-based integration
