Infrastructure Specialist

Habaņero Consulting Group, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a highly capable infrastructure specialist to support consulting efforts and deliver on business software projects for a variety of customers. The desired candidate will be energetic, possess a strong set of skills and attributes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work at a high level (consulting with clients) and a detailed level (hands-on)
  • Design and implement infrastructure for a variety of projects (with a focus on WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 implementations)
  • Effectively troubleshoot infrastructure issues (eg., performance bottlenecks, configuration faults, deployment issues)
  • Produce accurate and informative technical documentation
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-energy environment
  • Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams of customer stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, designers, developers, testers, and systems personnel

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role (as detailed above)
  • At least 2 years of relevant, formal technical education
  • 3 years experience with Windows NT/2000/2003/XP, Active Directory, Exchange, SANs, clustering, WANs
  • Hands on experience implementing/deploying solutions for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
  • Very strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and Analysis Services
  • Experience with IIS and Indexing Services
  • Networking concepts, LAN, WAN, DMZ, routing, Firewall concepts, TCP/IP
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Nice-to-have Skills and Experience

  • Experience with MS BizTalk server
  • Experience with WSS 2.0/Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003
  • Experience with MS Content Management Server 2001 and/or 2002
  • Relevant IT certification (eg. MCSE)
  • Strong understanding of the software development process particularly implementing custom .NET solutions with MOSS 2007
  • Experience implementing and configuring Search solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft VPC Server and/or VMWare
