Senior Architect

Habañero Consulting Group, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a highly capable, hands-on, senior architect to support consulting efforts and deliver business software projects for a variety of clients. The desired candidate will be energetic, possess a strong set of skills and personal attributes, and enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • deliver solution architecture and design
  • deliver enterprise architecture
  • provide business development (sales) support as needed
  • build and work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams of client stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, designers, developers, testers, and systems personnel
  • provide leadership and mentoring within the development group
  • conduct architecture, design, and code reviews
  • drive innovation and process improvement
  • support, extend, and communicate team standards and processes

Required skills and experience

  • 4-year computer science or engineering degree
  • 10+ years of relevant software development experience
  • demonstrated history of delivering completed projects
  • an experience-based understanding of how technology supports business
  • strong software engineering skills and understanding of development methodologies
  • solid proficiency with Microsoft .NET and other Microsoft platforms, products, and tools
  • solid understanding of all disciplines involved in software development
  • strong English language skills (oral and written)

Nice-to-have skills and experience

  • Broad business domain knowledge
  • collaborative solutions using MS SharePoint Server
  • integration using BizTalk Server
  • ERP solutions using MS Dynamics
  • good sense of usability, aesthetics, and human factors
