Technical Specialist (Sustainment)

Habañero Consulting Group, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a highly capable technical specialist to support our sustainment practice and deliver on business software requirements for a variety of customers. The desired candidate will be energetic, possess a strong set of skills and attributes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop enhancements for a variety of solutions implemented for Habañero’s clients
  • Effectively represent Habañero onsite and offsite using highly refined client relationship skills
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues with production systems (application, database, and infrastructure related)
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-energy environment
  • Respond to client requests, recommend solutions, implement new features
  • Produce accurate and informative technical documentation
  • Have the flexibility and motivation to learn the various technologies demanded by different projects

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • 4-year computer science or similar degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of development experience with .NET (C#)/ASP.NET
  • Experience with ASP, Javascript, HTML, XML, XSL
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with any of the following Microsoft server products: MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2003, Content Management Server 2002
  • Very strong and proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong English language skills (oral and written)

Nice-to-have Skills and Experience

  • BizTalk
  • Reporting Services
  • Good sense of usability, aesthetics, and human factors
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and message-based integration
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Patterns & Practices
  • Experience with best practices in infrastructure management such as disaster recovery, backup and restore, patch validation, and change control
