Microsoft Products & Solutions: Fraser Health Authority

October 20, 2003
The Fraser Health Authority (FHA) was created in 2001 through the merger of three health care organizations. With three times as many IT departments and managers, the development of clear project initiation processes for new information-management projects became critical. Together with the Habañero Consulting Group, FHA developed an Information Management Project Proposal Solution using Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 electronic forms and a Windows SharePoint Services site to administer each new proposal.

The new solution significantly reduced the work required to initiate, approve, and implement new projects — a reduction of almost 15 hours per project. FHA expected an internal rate of return of 53% and a project payback of 16 months.

Effectively Managing Thousands of Contracts

Microsoft Products & Solutions: Business Objects

March 1, 2003
Business Objects' legal department manages thousands of contracts ranging from software licenses to non-disclosure agreements. Under a previous system, these contracts were difficult to access for the legal, management, sales, and services staff who were located around the globe. Complicating things further, the signed paper contracts were stored primarily in Business Object's Palo Alto legal office.

Business Objects recognized that license agreements and service contracts were lapsing without sales staff knowledge, which was resulting in reduced sales, lost revenue, and impaired customer service. They partnered with Habañero to develop a document management system that would turn this situation around.

Building a World-class Service on a Tight Deadline

External Web Solutions: Credential Securities

June 1, 2002

When Credential Securities converted its operations to a new carrying broker, Canaccord Capital Corporation, Canada's largest independent brokerage firm, they required a new online trading system for their clients.

Rather than buying another third-party service and risk having to switch again in the future, Credential turned to Habañero to build a new, self-serve, brokerage website from the ground up. Habañero needed to build and launch the new website and client management application, and integrate with Canaccord systems — in only three months!

New CMS for the City of Surrey Increases User Satisfaction

External Web Solutions: City of Surrey

May 1, 2002
The previous City of Surrey website had grown to support hundreds of pages, a constant stream of traffic, and over 15 authoring areas. The City's site faced the problem many large sites do: publishing bottlenecks and outdated content. The user interface was tired and the information architecture no longer supported their communication and information needs.

The City of Surrey wanted a new site that would address all of these issues. In addition, the new site needed to allow City employees to perform site maintenance and develop new templates to accommodate future content requirements. So, the City partnered with Habañero to leverage both our experience designing usable websites and our experience implementing Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 (MSCMS).
