Almost all enterprise software to-date is designed to support business processes. Some of these processes can be automated, but most require human interaction at different points and in varying levels. Microsoft’s Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) was created to assist developers in supporting simple to complex business processes without getting lost in a quagmire of disparate systems and unmanageable code. As a core component of Microsoft’s .NET Framework version 3.0, WF gives a tremendous amount power to developers to create flexible, easy to understand (visible) and easy to control Sequential and State Machine workflows. Join Mike and Peter as they introduce Windows Workflow Foundation and show you how to implement a real-world business process using a WF State Machine workflow.
