Overview
Why are Web 2.0 internet technologies inevitable within the enterprise, and why are they difficult to govern?
Internet knowledge sharing technologies such as blogs, wikis, RSS, Instant Messengers, discussion forums, folksonomies, and other innovative communication techniques have begun to provide significant business value within the enterprise. However, with this onslaught of new communication techniques comes a new world of governance, training, and complex issues for a company trying to stay compliant and maintain good records keeping practices.
During this presentation, we will explore:
- how these new technologies are taking off within the enterprise
- why these new technologies have business value
- the emerging challenges that Records Managers face when implementing these tools within an organization
