Why a SharePoint Quick Start?

Often clients come to us with similar questions about SharePoint: Should I purchase the MOSS 2007 Enterprise Edition or should I purchase the Standard Edition? Do I need Microsoft Office SharePoint Server or should I use Windows SharePoint Services? Will SharePoint meet all my needs or will I need a custom solution or third-party add-on? How should I approach a SharePoint rollout for my organization? How much will a SharePoint implementation cost? Although the answer to these questions can be different for everyone, we have created a SharePoint Quick Start process to help answer all of these questions.

A SharePoint Quick Start is an excellent first step if you're weighing the business benefits of a complete SharePoint implementation, or simply have lots of questions to answer before you begin implementing. Without investing in a full deployment, you can quickly assess the best way SharePoint will help you increase efficiencies and decrease costs.

Working with you on a project

Our Quick Start service involves only strategic planning and some user experience design; it does not include building, integration, and deployment. Our approach varies depending on your needs, but below are the common steps in our process:

  • complete technology gap analysis
  • conduct business process review interviews
  • conduct user education and gain buy-in (occurs throughout phase)

2. User experience design phase

  • deterimine branding requirements and other requirements to user interface design
  • determine change management and training requirements
  • gather content migration requirements
