Habañero isn't limited to providing solutions for businesses. Corporate and employee giving is an important part of our culture.
Our 1% rule
Each year, Habañero gives one percent of our net income to charitable causes. Focused on the communities in which we have offices, we proudly support organizations that do the following:
- provide the basics of life and/or that work to improve the quality of life for families, youth, seniors, and members of the First Nations community
- improve and promote job skills, literacy, and health
- work with animals

United Way employee campaign
For eight consecutive years, Habañero has participated in the United Way employee campaign. Our 2009 campaign was a resounding success: about 70% of Habañero’s 61 employees donated, raising over $15,000.
United Way Day of Caring
Since 2004, we have supported the United Way Day of Caring. In June 2009, 15 Habañero employees rolled up their sleeves to paint the hallways of the Vancouver office of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and the walls of its Rehabilitation Teaching Suite.
2009 Bowl for Big Brothers Classic
Habañero Consulting Group employees participated in the 2009 Bowl for Big Brothers Classic on February 24, 2009 at the Commodore Lanes in Vancouver. The team, which consisted of 14 employees and friends, raised close to $3000, half donated by employees and half matched by Habañero.
Drives and other giving
We hold food and clothing drives within our office on a regular basis. We also enthusiastically sponsor a family each Christmas through the YWCA's Sponsor a Family program.
Supporting employees' charitable work
Habañero is proud of our employees' charitable spirits, efforts, and activities. We encourage all employees to give to causes they care about, and we fully respect and support their commitments.
