Habañero in The Sun
May 2, 2002

Habañero Consulting Group (Habañero), has been featured in two recent pieces in The Vancouver Sun.

The dot-com bust may have wreaked havoc in Vancouver's high tech community, but at Habañero, business couldn't be better. That was the message in the Sun's Net Works page.

Habañero's principals — Neil Jensen and Steven Fitzgerald — revealed the company's reasons for success in an interview with Sun writer Peter Wilson. Wilson opens with strong praise for a shortlist of Habañero's client sites including Teldon.com, Bentall5.com, and PHN.com, before delving into some of the strategies that have helped Habañero grow through these challenging economic times.

"We get clients through word of mouth and referral," states Habañero President Steven Fitzgerald in the article. "Because we've had long-term relationships, they have a vested interest in us being around and ensuring that we're stable and thriving."

The second story, which ran in the May 2nd business section, was the first of what will become a regular column in the Sun. The concept is to provide advice to volunteer companies on strategies and tactics they should consider for getting the most out of their website.

In this the first of these columns, Habañero cites the changes they made to the BCAA website. A screen capture of the old and new sites is used as a visual tool to indicate some to the upgrades that were done to enhance user experience.
