Habañero is pleased to announce the release of a content management solution it developed for Coast Capital Savings' intranet, mycoast. The solution, built on Microsoft's Content Management Server 2002, provides enterprise-wide information sharing across Coast Capital's 44 branches and 3 administrative offices.
Coast Capital Savings' 2,000 employees rely on mycoast to access the information they need to do their work. Content owners across the company, having no way of directly updating their pages on the intranet site, relied on two IT staff members to fulfill update requests.
In order to overcome this bottleneck, Coast Capital turned to Habañero to install Microsoft's Content Management Server 2003 and address several challenges, including integrating the solution with its IT infrastructure, retaining the site's information architecture and look and feel, and migrating more than 5,000 pages of content.
By handing ownership of the content back to the subject matter experts and allowing non-technical users to author and publish content directly to the intranet, Coast Capital dramatically reduced the IT costs required to maintain its corporate intranet. Coast Capital Savings now has an efficient workflow that lets 33 authors instantly create and share content with the rest of the company.
"As a technology partner, Habañero was extremely efficient to work with, and we completed a daunting project on time. Habañero's experience working with Microsoft Content Management Server and deploying the software in other similar-size companies was beneficial. The entire team assigned to us consisted of true experts who helped guide us through every step" says Wendy Lachance, Manager e-Business Development, Coast Capital Savings.
